We all need good news…

Worship

We hold services at 10.30am on Sunday mornings at all of our buildings. If you'd like to join us for worship please do come along, see the News page or get in touch.

We produced regular videos during lockdown to help you worship at home and we continue to send newsletters in the post to those who aren't online and are unable to get to church. Our monthly newsletters are also circulated by email - please contact us to be added to the mailing list and look at our youtube channel SouthBristolMethodistChurch - YouTube for past worship videos.

Small groups

We run small groups so we can enjoy conversation and learning together. Our small groups are now meeting on Monday mornings once a month, on Wednesday evenings once a fortnight, on Tuesday mornings once a fortnight, and on Thursday afternoons on zoom once a fortnight.

We’ll be looking this season at the riches of John’s Gospel, words to inspire and to grow through. On Tuesday mornings we’re following a short introduction to what it means to be a disciple of Jesus.

It isn’t just about study though but just as much about friendships and growing in confidence. Do join us.

Prayer

The heart of the Christian life is prayer, key to developing our relationship with God. The church building at Knowle is open regularly on Wednesday mornings 10.30am -12 noon for anyone to come in and enjoy some space and quiet, to ask for prayer or to join us as we pray together.

Children’s activities

We run junior church every week in term time at Knowle, with extra activities in school holidays.

Check the Knowle page for more details.

Children from Broomhill Infants and Junior Schools take part in activities at St Peter’s at Harvest and festivals, and we use Godly Play to tell stories - check the website for more information on this. Godly Play UK – A Christian movement centered on childhood spirituality

Alpha and nurture groups

If you are new to the Christian faith and want to learn more, or if it is all a mystery to you but are curious, you can join a regular gathering to discuss what it is all about. Do contact me, Rev Sally for more information.
