I am Mercy, Designated Safeguarding lead at SBMC St Peter’s in Brislington. I am also a Steward. In my spare time I enjoy travelling especially visiting family in Italy.

Health, Safety and Safeguarding at SBMC

We take measures to ensure a safe and protective environment for anyone connected to youth work and/or work vulnerable adults. This means:

  • DBS checked staff

  • trained in safeguarding

  • additional adults as witnesses and support

  • First Aid trained staff

  • Level 1 and 2 trained Food and Hygiene kitchen staff

  • Fire safety wardens, regularly updated drills and practice including alarm testing

  • Wheelchair friendly buildings on all sites

  • risk assessed events

  • references and suitability to work with vulnerable people self declarations
